Chain snapped this morning, then snapped again tonight. Chain tools you carry them for years without use, but when you need them, you need them. Twisted deraillier from bike hitting ground on ice a few weeks back has b****red it. New parts due to arrive tomorrow, shame couldn't last another day. Driving tomorrow.

When's the cold weather going to go? A little ice on the road again today but since it's been dry for 8 days now most of the flooding is gone. Wore summer cycling shoes on Sunday during day so it can't be long now. ....

Paul are you back on your bike yet?

Almost - have just today sorted the lock, clothes & stuff at work, so any day now, it's a bit cold though & I keep harking back of those warm sunny mornings, stopping for breakfast on the way...

Hey Spring is almost upon us.

I've switched to shorts and summer cycling shoes this morning....

Yep this weather at the moment is rather good, could have been a Summers day at lunchtime.

Tracks in Sherrards Park woods are nicely dried out now...

Scraped home without turning on front light tonight...

I hurt my ribs at the weekend, so still not able to get commuting again, did manage a road ride on Saturday before the injury though.

Maybe start up again next week (off up North with work in the morning.

ha ha,

Well since I've started commuting on the bike I've completed over 30,000 miles so I have a little way to go on this thread.

It's got so warm I was down to shorts and t-shirt last night. Did extended ride home via Whitwell and Preston .

Shame it seems to be raining every other day this week.

Phil, wash your mouth out! Rain! We cannot complain after having such a lovely day yesterday. I was out on the horses in my t-shirt. I would put up with a day of crappy rain for a day like yesterday no probs! although rain is quite crap your cycling!

Rain is ok when cycling (better than walking or climbing in rain) but bit of a pain if not forecast as I wear glasses. Looks like rest of this week is going to be dry - yipeee.

Today I set fastest time this year for my commute at 52 mins. Funny as I wasn't really trying to break this years record. My times yesterday after a weekend fell walking in the Lakes were rubbish. Is it sad that I try and beat my best commute times now and again? Who cares

Picking up my new road bike this Saturday. Better be faster than the mtb on the road else it's going back....

My experience was that that I was 2 mph faster on the road bike.

Annoyed at myself for not setting the alarm and cycling in today as it is so nice out there. Went for a walk at lunchtime and really did not want to go back into an afternoon of meetings
