Dear HMC members
Its our usual monthly gathering on Tuesday 27th January at the Three Horseshoes starting at 8.30pm.
Our first event at the end of January is now fully booked up, however the YHA still has some places available. If you have missed out on a place through the HMC, you can contact the Castleton YHA directly and book yourself a place. The link to the YHA website is below

Our second event at the Wasdale Murt Camping Barn is also now fully booked. However, there are several accommodation options for any members wishing to go to Wasdale for the weekend. The Wasdale Inn provides accommodation at the head of the valley. There is also the Wasdale YHA at the south western end of Wasdale Lake which may also have accommodation available.
Back in 2010, the HMC had avery successful Annual Dinner at ‘Caffi Gwynant’ Bethania, Nantgwynant, Caernarfon, Gwynedd. LL55 4NL a short walk from the Snowdonia Centre at the foot of the Watkin Pat. The plan is to repeat this for 2015. In order to assess the viability of this event and to book the venue in good time, I would encourage all members who wish to go on this event to sign up as soon as possible. Details about the restaurant can be found using the link here: http://www.cafesnowdon.co.uk/
Glen Coe is perhaps Scotland’s most famous and most scenic glen. Glen Coe has hillwalking, mountaineering, rock climbing, and skiing. It could be a combination of winter and/or spring conditions at this time of year. Staying at the Glen Coe SYHA accommodation only . Also it is a short walk away from the famous climbers pub, the Clachaig Inn which is well worth one, if not several visits!
Booked to arrive Thursday and leave Tuesday; over lapping Easter weekend, so hopefully avoiding Bank Holiday traffic at each end to make a good worthwhile trip. Click here to book on the event
